Vegan Rice Burger
What’s special about it? In this case, the burger bun isn’t made of bread, but rice! A slightly different burger with a delicious taste. Try it! The rice bun is a great option for people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease because it doesn''t contain wheat flour. It’s a gluten-free alternative to conventional burger buns.
Ingridients for 2 burgers
200g vegan patty (soy protein)
80g rice
1 egg
A pinch of salt and pepper
Mustard
Optional: vegetables of choice
Fresh lettuce leaves, tomato slices, etc.
Preparation
Cook the rice, then let it cool slightly and mix briefly. With wet fingers, shape buns from the rice (now cooled). Then, fry the buns for about 2-3 minutes and flip carefully. This part is tricky: the buns may break, so it’s important that no liquid comes into contact with the buns. Mix the vegan ground meat (or ready-made vegan patties) with the egg and spices. Form 2 patties from the mixture and fry them on both sides for about 4-5 minutes. Once the buns and patties are ready, serve with a little salad.
